Technicians

Karen has been with Oakwood since 2003 and has experience as a veterinary technician for 21 years. She lives with her husband, two children, Border Terrier, and three cats in Traverse City. Karen enjoys gardening, camping, and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Northern Michigan.

Susan has also been with Oakwood since 2005 and really enjoys it here. It was later in life when she finally realized that she really wanted to work with animals. She and her husband Frank have two cats at home, and enjoy being outdoors, playing cards with friends, and traveling to the U.P.

Ryann is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) who joined us in the beginning of 2009. She graduated from Baker in 2003. A Traverse City native, she just moved back to the area with her husband, son, dog, and two cats. Ryann enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and down-hill skiing.

Sarah is a 2009 graduate from MSU’s Veterinary Technician Program. Sarah has worked at Oakwood during school breaks since 2006. She and her husband have a cat, Oliver and a dog, George. Sarah enjoys spending time at home with her husband as well as their kitty (who happens to be quite entertaining). She also enjoys boating and waterskiing with her family in the summertime.
