Dr. Dana (Navidonski) Nelson, DVM
Dr. Dana (Navindonski) Nelson graduated from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After graduation, she spent time in the great plains practicing large animal medicine. However, Michigan is home. Since transitioning to exclusively small animal medicine, she finds challenge and joy in the endless variety. Her special interests include surgery, internal medicine, and behavior/ training with client education and communication as the main focus. When not working, Dr. Dana enjoys spending time with her husband, Christian, her two boys, Isaac (10) and Alexander (8) along with their 4 furry companions doing virtually anything outdoors. Dr. Dana is excited to bring her experience and enthusiasm to the great team at Oakwood Veterinary Hospital.
