Dr. Dave Durham, DVM
Dr. David B. Durham is a 1987 graduate from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and joined the Oakwood professional team in April 2015. Dave is originally from Flint and has worked at a veterinary clinic, in many capacities, since he was 15 years old. After graduation from MSU, Dave moved to Grand Rapids and was co-owner of a small animal clinic for 20 years where he treated dogs, cats, and numerous reptile patients. After the sale of the practice, Dave moved to Traverse City in 2012 to be close to nature, extended family and to pursue a part-time position in a well-respected veterinary hospital. Oakwood has been a great fit! He enjoys all aspects of professional life but is intrigued mostly with internal medicine, behavior and witnessing the unique human-animal bond experiences that veterinary practice allows. In his free time, Dave enjoys kayaking, travel and exploring the greater Traverse City region with his spouse, Ed.
